LEAP Testimonials
LEAP is a nationally managed program certifying dietitians who have a desire to help individuals with chronic health problems in their community. The following testimonials are a small sample of the successes being seen through this program. Contact NuCommunity today to see how LEAP can make a difference in your life.
Family Practice Physician:
I see patients every day with irritable bowel syndrome, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease and other functional digestive problems where diet can play a role in provoking symptoms. I have found LEAP-MRT to be a very useful tool. MRT reliably identifies reactive foods, and I consistently see remarkable clinical improvement in my patients by implementing a diet based on MRT results. I highly recommend MRT to any physician who deals with any of these problems.

Internal Medicine Physician:
Many of my patients who’ve gone on the LEAP Program have had remarkable improvement in disease conditions which, by conventional methods, were considered untreatable. I have found that many common conditions respond to the LEAP approach. It has been very helpful for inflammatory and irritable bowel disorders, eczema, fatigue, arthritic conditions, and other autoimmune problems. I frequently recommend LEAP to my patients as I have seen and know the benefits that can be obtained by changing their diet without putting the patient at any risk.

Migraine Testimony by Patient:
I am 17 years old and for the past 20 months have suffered from a variety of symptoms that have baffled all the physicians I’ve seen. I began having bad recurring headaches, facial and neck pain, low-grade fevers, chronic fatigue, nausea and generally felt terrible most of the time. My doctors put me on antibiotics several times, did sinus x-rays, sinus and brain MRI and CT scans, did allergy testing and prescribed a number of steroids, antihistamines and other allergy-related medications. I was finally tested for thyroid and began taking 25 mg of Synthroid which helped my symptoms minimally.
I finally saw in internal medicine doctor who recommended testing through the LEAP program. For the first time in nearly two years I am feeling much better. I have kept very rigidly to the eating plan set up by LEAP and have been in close contact with a nutritionist who has been very helpful. I’ve done well with most foods as they are introduced but several foods (wheat and peanuts, particularly) are obviously problems. Within an hour of eating either I feel very ill, nauseous, have a bad headache and feel achy and “flush”. Basically, I feel like I did before I started the LEAP program when I eat anything I’m sensitive to.
I believe this has been the answer we’ve been searching for these past two years. I’ve been on the program through its first five phases and so I haven’t completed it yet but I am very hopeful that my health will continue to improve.

Satisfied Client
I would not recommend waiting until you feel so alone and helpless to begin this program. Understandable symptoms? Here were just a few of my own: Discomfort 24/7, the doctor had no easy remedies, weight gain, weird indescribable pains, no friends, no fun......sleep more than I'm awake for two years......best friend is the toilet !
Hypochondriac???? Stop right there. Pain is pain if you feel it, it is real. I got tested and tried the diet for just ten days. It is an eye opener. Within one week I quit sleeping all day, became more energetic, pains and aches slowly receded to "out of here", no more IBS. Yeah! Yes many people that I hadn't seen in a couple of years thought I had moved and they sure didn't recognize me at first.....now 54 pounds lighter and a whole lot more fun. I found that I do exist. I feel great. I smile a lot and have many things to smile about.

Airborne Allergies/Hay fever Testimony – comment by Jan P. (Certified LEAP Therapist):
I've seen on many occasions in the past 4 years that LEAP patients that ALSO have airborne allergies/hay fever, find that after being on their LEAP diets, that the airborne stuff does not bother them as much, OR at all. For example: 1
Florida man did great with LEAP. Two years later, he called me to tell me that he just found his allergy meds in his bed-side table, expired. . .and it just then dawned on him that since LEAP he no longer had allergies to the orange trees in bloom. He said they'd bothered him every year for the 12 years prior to that.
Another example: An Illinois MD with multiple chemical sensitivity (disabled anesthesiologist because he couldn't tolerate the chemicals anymore) learned that he was highly MRT corn reactive. When he did LEAP, the corn pollen (surrounding him) didn't bother him nearly so much. (if at all, don't quite recall the details-was a few years ago)
I've had LEAP patients state that the environmental seasonal pollen that used to cause hay fever NO LONGER bothers them when they stay away from reactive foods. I've also had asthma patients with total resolution of asthma symptoms after doing LEAP.
What's cause and what's effect?
